Vitamin C:
*This section pertains to Ascorbic Acid (the synthetic version of Vitamin C) and was written prior to me switching to the organic versions
Vitamin C has many benefits to the body, everything from staving of colds and flu's to helping the body repair damaged tissue. Since the body does not store Vitamin C it is essential to supplement our diets with it to aid in our continued good health. I have been using higher doses of Vitamin C for many years for different ailments and with great success. Since I practice a pharmaceutical free lifestyle I have experimented with many vitamins, minerals and herbs over the years. I can say that this practice has led me to greater overall health and well being than most people that I meet.
For instance, In the past 10 years I rarely get anything that resembles a cold or flu. When I do the duration and intensity is much less than before I started using Vitamin C on a regular basis. Prior to this time in my life, a cold or flu could hang around for two or three weeks at a time. After implementing regular higher doses throughout the days of a cold or flu, usually the symptoms would go away within a couple of days and sometimes even within the same day. Since I discovered this technique for myself, I have experimented with high dosing and regular daily dosing scenarios. A high dose would be used for an immediate illness such as a cold or flu coming on and I would take as much as 16,000 to 20,000 mg or so throughout the day. This sounds like alot at first however when you do your research you'll find that it is very safe to do. The 16+ grams would be broken out into several 2,000 mg doses through the day until the symptoms reverse and go away. You will need to decide for yourself if this regimen is right for you however I can say that I have been practicing this for many years with great success with no downside, I'm just healthier. Not to mention, after my experience with C, the idea of getting a flu shot is a joke to me at this point.
I have also experimented with taking 2,000 mg of C on a daily basis just before bedtime. This seemed to be a more proactive approach rather than waiting for something to happen and then doing the higher doses. Recently I have moved on to making my own Liposomal Encapsulated Vitamin C (videos below), and currently am taking two 1 ounce shots of this liquid twice a day. The absorption rate is alot higher with liposomal C vs. C in pill or powder form, and I can tell the difference in the efficiency of how it is delivered into my system.

Currently my recipe is as follows: - 12 ounces Distilled water - 3 Heaping tablespoons Non-Gmo Sunflower Lecithin - 1 Heaping tablespoon Absorbic Acid powder (Vitamin C) - Blend all ingredients together until dissolved and 'frothy' - Pour mix into your jewelry cleaner, *my cleaner only runs 3 minute cycles, so while stirring the mix with a wooden spoon I run the machine for about 18 to 24 minutes until the foam is gone. Store in a glass container in the fridge and consume all within about 6 days |
