I’m putting my thoughts down on this topic since I have been having quite a few conversations about it lately. Just understand that this topic is as mysterious as the universe is, and my opinions on this topic are exactly that - opinion. Those of you, who know me, know that I make every attempt to be as objective as I can when analyzing such topics. So, here we go.
The year 2012 has much lore and speculation attached to it. The 2012 scenario originated with the discovery of the Ancient Mayan calendars. Based on archeological findings, it is said that the Maya people believed that their world would end on December 21st 2012. This idea was sparked due to the calendars themselves just ending on that date. It wasn’t until recently that more analysis has revealed that the calendars are cyclical and these cycles continue on after the year 2012.
The astrological significance that spurred this Mayan belief is a rare event that only happens every 26,000 years. This event is the Sun aligning itself with the center of the Milky Way. At the same time another rare astrological event occurs, the Earth completes a "wobble" (a 26,000 year wobble) around its axis (known as "procession"), And the exact date of these two occurrences is… yep, you guessed it 12/21/2012. Regardless of the varying opinions on this topic, I think it is safe to say that the Maya were definitely "in touch" with the universe and its bodies. How the Maya were able to predict astrological events 26,000 years into the future still baffles our scientific community today.
To add additional support to this doomsday theory, Nostradamus had predicted a time of great Strife between the years 2006 and 2012. Along with many other predictions of doom on or near the year 2012 from many sources, this has only solidified to many that we are inevitably headed for trouble.
The common thread in this "End of Days" scenario is the phrase "Life will end as we know it". The folks in the holistic circles that I frequent analyze this phrase and make a great point by looking at the phrase literally "Life will end - as we know it". "As we know it" is the key part of the idea that I would like to focus on here. This idea/phrase "As we know it" simply refers to change. Since we are living in an ever changing universe, this realization suddenly goes from a "Gloom and Doom" scenario to (in my humble opinion) just another phase in the process of our evolution and/or enlightenment. Although it is widely believed that this is a pivotal time for us all.
So, what is this change and what going to happen to all of us? It’s hard to say, however there is much speculation in the holistic community that I can share with you. Many that I have spoken with believe that although it will be a tough time for many, that in the grander picture, we as a species/consciousness, will take a great spiritual step forward. We will strengthen our bond with our higher selves, god, spirit, the universe (how ever you wish to categorize it). Our connection with one another will be heightened to levels we had only dreamed of. Our core vibration will rise and we will become a new energetic being. I do not believe that this means that we will just float off the planet. In fact I believe that many of the aspects of our lives will remain the same. We will still eat food, breathe air, drive cars, have televisions, phones etc., however I think that it is our perception of life and the universe that will be changed and enhanced dramatically. I think that the average person will be more empathic, psychic, telepathic and we will able to respond to one another more energetically that ever before. I believe that our sight will no longer be 3 dimensional, but we will acquire vision of many dimensions. I think the medical community around the world will change to a more holistic point of view – dealing in the quantum and vibrational realms. Frequencies and electromagnetism will rule the day here on earth for a while. I believe that time and space will not be perceived as the mysterious force that it is now, but rather an infinite window of opportunity for self exploration.
I also believe, as do many others that this change is not as sudden as the terms it is being described in with the 2012 scenario. I believe that we are undergoing this change as we speak. I think that 2012 is merely a marker. The time around 2012 (several years prior and after) is the real event horizon. This is something that we are currently involved in – believe it or not. The proof is all around us. From the heightened anxiety of the world (with all the natural disasters and war and the like), to the indigo revolution and the crystal people. Not to mention all of the fun, cool, interesting stuff that goes along with these aspects. The world is changing, and at an accelerated rate.
**Quick note to my fellow healers - This is going to be a great time of transition and transformation for us as a total consciousness. This means that the world is going to need healers from all walks of life - Energy and Light workers, psychic readers, Counselors, Psychotherapists, Bodyworkers, holistic M.D’s, etc. The masses are going to need our help during this transition. We all have a role to play. Get to know yours and play it well. It will be a bumpy ride for some, however it will be worth the effort. Just understand that all of the preparation is happening now. Take a look around for moment. Notice how healers are being educated in new ways of understanding unlike before. There is a reason for this. We need to raise our own vibration and let go of all the "stuff" that holds us back from truly being "in service". From the ego, the pettiness, the competitiveness and the lack of broad all encompassing vision. We need let go of these things that bind us and better ourselves for the sake of all of those who depend on us and will need our help during this transition. It will be up to us to help empower others to become great. This is the role of healer, please do not lose sight of that.
In closing, the general consensus is that the world is not going to disappear or blow up anytime soon. In all actuality this is rather an exciting time for all of us. The possibilities are infinite. This transition should ultimately be a catapult for you and not stifling in any way. Just keep paying attention. Try to keep raising your awareness. And if you need help along the way, contact a healer or a counselor (someone that you resonate with) to help you fill in the blanks.
